Frequently Asked Questions about DODTracker.com
I've been launched only since Oct 27, but already I'm noticing some frequently asked questions:
- How do I use this fargin' website?
Good question! You may want to check out the User's Guide, or maybe read about what we mean by tracking or who we track. - How often do you update the info on the website?
Using the term 'we' loosely, 'we' update the website about every two minutes. Fear not, however--we (truly we, not 'we') have a script that does it (mostly) for us. - A site was listed yesterday, but not today; what gives?
This is a "daily deal" site. If a vendor isn't updating their site with a new offer within 48 hours of the product's introduction, then they're not really offering a "daily deal". When that happens, we simply stop showing their deal until they change it. This lets us automatically hide "dead" deals without removing sites from the tracker, and ensures the deals you see here are truly updating on a daily basis. - How can I get my site listed on DODTracker.com?
First thing to do is to check what sites we list. Second, you should make sure that as much of the information we list as possible is available on your site.
- Can you make the website a little less ugly? Please?
Easy answer: NO. If you STILL think the site is ugly... this is version 3.0 for us. If we didn't make something that you like so far, it's unlikely we will in the future. At some point, if this site makes some money, then we could afford an actual site re-design by a professional. For now, you're stuck with graphic design by an engineer-type.
- Can you add a feature to reorder the websites and/or choose which sites to view?
DONE. You can check out the User's Guide and see how that puppy works. - Are you affiliated with any of the websites on this page?
We just added a list of sites we are affiliated to, at the bottom of the right-hand column on each page.
